I like to make things from dangerous materials: molten metals, constructed metals, found objects and hot glass. Risk in thought and execution motivates me. Manifest destiny, pop culture, absurdist comedy, cultural dynamics, and Breton's manifesto; these threads combine into genre and philosophy that I like to call, "Punk Surrealism." Often the work explores societal oppression of peoples, at times through my eyes as a child. For me a piece has to offer the viewer a story, risk sharing a vulnerability, ideally have some sort.
