Gazing Turns Into Diptych - 2022
7’ x 6’4”
Color pencil and graphite drawing, two yellow frames
Gazing Turns Into Diptych displays a train carriage scene like our own world but vibrating with color. The buildings outside are rich with pattern and hues. Inside the train there are people so fully themselves and comfortable in their existence that their colorful energy flows across to the greyscale people. In the greyscale figure at the front, the viewer can see a green glimmer in the eye as he gazes to the man across the train car. If we ponder the splendor of being alive together in our most full and kind selves what could gazing turn into? Love? Connection? Inspiration? If we flow our abundance towards others could we all live comfortably? If we notice the seeping color in our everyday lives, adding more around us everyday, our future could be the most beautiful.
