Violet Luczak is a multidisciplinary artist whose work explores identity, embodiment, and gender. Through painting and interactive sculpture, she creates playful, surreal characters that blur binaries and invite viewers to reflect on their own experiences. Her works combine whimsy with vulnerability, encouraging curiosity, connection, and wonder.

 

Based in Chicago, Luczak holds her MFA from Cranbrook Academy of Art and her BA from Elmhurst University. Luczak has held residencies at the Chicago Art Department, in Chicago, and Talking Dolls in Detroit, Michigan.

 

Luczak has shown at various spaces, including, VSG Gallery,  Cleve Carney Museum of Art, St. Louis Artist Guild, WomanMade Gallery, Hyde Park Art Center, Wasserman Projects, Mercedes-Benz, Ann Arbor Art Center, Marriott W Hotel, and Jackson Junge Gallery. She has been published in New American Paintings, No. 147 MFA Annual Issue, Young Space and It’s Nice That.

 

Luczak currently serves as a faculty member at McHenry County College.
