Call for Artists: Chicago Fashion Week at Forum 301
Deadline: Friday, September 11, 2026
Exhibition Date: Friday, October 9, 2026
Fashion is one of the few art forms that connects us all.
Before we step into the world, we step into a garment. Every day, we make choices about what we wear, creating compositions that communicate who we are before we ever speak. At Forum 301, we believe that isn't simply style. It is art.
For Chicago Fashion Week, Forum 301 is seeking designers and fashion artists whose work is driven by intention, originality, and a distinct creative perspective. We are interested in garments that do more than follow trends. We want work that creates conversations, challenges expectations, and communicates something meaningful about the person who made it.
Whether your practice exists within streetwear, avant-garde fashion, leatherwork, theatrical garments, lingerie, sustainable design, or somewhere in between, we want to see work that feels original, thoughtful, and unapologetically yours.
Gallery Showroom Exhibition: A dedicated exhibition celebrating the garments, materials, craftsmanship, and creative practices of selected designers.
Who We Are Looking For: We are looking for designers who:
-
Create with intention and a distinct point of view
-
Challenge conventional ideas of fashion and presentation
-
Tell stories through garments, materials, silhouettes, or construction
-
Explore culture, identity, community, sustainability, or personal experience
-
Develop original work rather than simply following existing trends
-
Approach fashion as a creative and artistic practice
At Forum 301, we believe artists build culture long before the rest of the world catches up.We're not looking for the next trend. We're looking to build the next perspective. If your work challenges expectations, tells a story, or simply refuses to blend in, we'd love to see it.
